Workshop “Retelling Heritage Stories: Southern Folk Performance Edition” hosted by British Council.

On 28 March 2021, Thanh Thảo – the accountant of our Cultura Fish team joined in the workshop “Retelling Heritage Stories: Southern Folk Performance Edition” hosted by British Council. Thanks to this workshop Cultura Fish had the opportunity to learn and connect with the young people who also advocate for Vietnamese cultural values.

If you can spot the person who’s wearing glasses with the biggest smile with her eyes closed, while holding up a poster- that is our accountant!

From what we gathered from the session, Cultura Fish would love to share even more fascinating stories to you. Stay tuned to our future content ahead!

The program “Retelling Heritage Stories: Southern Folk Performance Edition” aims to introduce storytelling language to the general public such as individuals or organisations that are working directly or indirectly with the Southern Folk Performance art in Ho Chi Minh city. During the training, participants will be mentored about storytelling mediums such as writing, photography, graphic design and how to use them in order to create a cohesive story, reflecting an honest portrayal on the community heritage values.

The workshop is a part of community cultural heritage program- co hosting with Cultural Heritage for Inclusive Growth Project by British Council Vietnam, with the goal to support communities across regions in Vietnam, using heritage as a leverage to push for economic growth while combating the rising social inequality.
